Technology can make our lives simpler,

but technology is also complicating our lives with unrelentless demands upon our time, souls and space.

The good news is you are still in control.

Your escape mechanism is in your head and your hands.

Simply put, use your hands to flip the switch. Unplug and turn it off. It is that simple.  In fact, you can do it right now. . . How did that feel?

Your mind is the most powerful tool that you have to combat stress. Stress begins and ends in the brain. You can use your brainpower to help your relax, organize, recover and escape. We are not machines, we need to unwind.

Four Tips to deal with e-clutter:

Delete it. There are some issues in life and on your email that automatically should be in the trash bin. 50% of what we deal with can be deleted or filed. Do it. Do it right then and there, if it can be done in 2 minutes. Guess what, 30% of stuff can be done in 2 minutes or less. Delegate it. Give up the control. Let someone else handle a situation. You will survive. Defer it. There are some issues that do not require an immediate solution. Take the time to gather more knowledge and information before moving on to action. 20% of decisions that you make can be deferred.
